About the Library

Meet the Trustees—Janet Zinck

Janet Zinck grew up in Henrietta, graduated from the Rush-Henrietta School District, and chose Henrietta as the place that she and her husband Bob would live and raise their four daughters, Leslie, Allison, Meagan and Rebecca. Henrietta has been good to them, and they have lived by the philosophy that part of living in a great community involves being active in that community. “You can’t just take without giving something back.”

Janet has been a Councilwoman on the Town Board of Henrietta since 2002. In addition, she teaches in the Department of Hospitality at Monroe Community College. “What is so special about these career paths is that they all involve helping people. It is so important to love what you do, and to feel that what you do makes a difference.”

Janet is excited to continue as liaison to the Library Board.  She is quick to add that “this is one of the most dedicated group of individuals I have ever had the pleasure to work with.  I have always felt that the Henrietta Library does an exceptional job. I hold them up as an example of exceptional customer service in my sales classes at the college. I look forward to continuing to work with this exceptional Board as we work together to continue to make this a library to be proud of.”

Janet received her Associates Degree from Monroe Community College, her Bachelor’s Degree from Nazareth College and her Master’s Degree from the State University at Brockport.
