Tax Assessment Rolls

Tax assessment rolls are helpful for a variety of local history research questions, and contain different information depending on the year they were created.  Data provided in the rolls may aid in determining an arrival to or a move from a particular region, the exact location of an individuals property, the owner of a property, the value and size of a property, various taxes paid by the owner (or taxpayer) or a date as to when a building was constructed on a property. 

Henrietta tax assessment rolls in the local history collection at the Henrietta Public Library cover the following years:

1881-1889
1891-1899
1901-1908

The years 1853 to 1907 are also available for viewing on microfilm.
