The Storyline

The Storyline, a public service of the Henrietta Public Library, is a recording of a children’s book for preschoolers through grade 2.  The stories are changed weekly and can be heard by dialing 334-6670 anytime.

To Our Library patrons:

Effective January 2, 2012, the Henrietta Public Library will be closed on Sundays.

This was not an easy decision. State and county support for library services continue to decrease while Monroe County Library System membership fees, retirement and health care costs have all increased dramatically.

After careful consideration of the available options, we decided that closing on Sunday would cause the least disruption to you, our patrons. The library will be open six days a week consistently throughout the year. We are also able to maintain the programs and services that are important to you.

It’s after 9 pm and the library is closed. You are trying to do research for a paper that is due tomorrow and don’t know where to look. Start here! The Henrietta Library has a variety of databases and e-books to meet your research needs. Check out our new collection of e-books and our well-loved collection of databases. They are available 24/7 on our Research & Database page located on the toolbar on the left hand side of your screen. Let us know what you think!

Museum Passes

HPL has partnered with FOUR fantastic museums/special admissions. 

• The Memorial Art Gallery
• The George Eastman House
• The RMSC (and Planetarium)
• Genesee Country Village

To borrow a museum pass you must have;

• An MCLS library card clear of fines.
• Borrow Thursday to Tuesday.
• Call to reserve a pass early Thursday. 
• Henrietta residents have priority.
• One pass per family per time.
• Overdue fines $5 per day. 
• Replacement fee $50.
