The Library of the Future
This month, we've scheduled two sessions where we're inviting community members to come in and talk about where they think the library should be headed. One is on Tuesday, September 16 from 7:00-8:00pm, and the second one is on Thursday, September 25 from 1:00-2:00pm. (Find full information on our program calendar.) These will be informal conversations where we'll talk about things like what your ideal library would look like and what it might offer our community. We've been talking and thinking a lot about where the library is going and how it can best serve our community's needs, and getting community input is an essential element of that. We've been doing various kinds of surveys and studies, and this is another one we're trying. We're hoping by getting information from a variety of sources, we'll see some trends, and we also hear creative and new ideas that inspire us. We'd love to see you at one of these conversations, but if you have ideas or suggestions that you'd like to share at any time, please feel free to send me an email, call (585-444-2301), or send in a letter--whatever is easiest for you. This library belongs to our whole community, and we welcome and encourage your input every day of the year!
