Oh, Those British Detectives...

April 16, 2016 at 8:00 PM

If you are anything like me, you are currently enthralled with the latest sleuthing duo, Father Sydney Chambers and Inspector Geordie Keating in Grantchester, currently airing on Sunday nights. And you were excited to hear that Masterpiece will air more episodes of Endeavour, a series based on the young Inspector Morse, authored by Colin Dexter. I also love reading about modern day British detectives. If you want to add to your literary collection of detective duos, look no further than Deborah Crombie's Duncan Kincaid and Gemma James or Elizabeth George's Thomas Lynley and Barbara Havers. If you like the vicar and detective duo, try out G.M. Malliet's Father Max Tudor series. Two good duos to add to your viewing collection are Inspector Lewis with Robert Lewis and his partner Detective Sergeant Hathaway and Scott and Bailey featuring Detective Constables Janet Scott and Rachel Bailey. Whichever you choose, you won't be disappointed. Cheers! --Alicia Reinhardt, Librarian
