Donate

Our Henrietta Public Library Friends and Foundation group accepts books, magazines, and other materials to sell in their Book Shoppe. The Friends and Foundation use their earnings to support library programs and projects, including ALL our summer programs. The Friends and Foundation gratefully accept donations of books in good condition, DVDs, puzzles, textbooks, and magazines (of popular interest in good condition). They cannot accept Reader's Digest condensed books, encyclopedias, professional journals, trade magazines, newsprint publications, records, CDs, cassette tapes, books on tape, VHS tapes, and books in poor condition (musty, smoky, excessively dusty, loose pages, pages that are badly yellowed, no covers).

You can drop materials off at the circulation desk any time the library is open. Please limit your donations to one box or two bags.

Gifts to the library and memorial donations can be made by writing a check to "Henrietta Public Library Friends and Foundation." You can drop your gift off at the library or mail it to:

Volunteering in the Book Shoppe

The Henrietta Public Library Friends and Foundation Book Shoppe Team is accepting applications for adult volunteers to work in the Shoppe. Shoppe Team members take in book donations, sort them, and sell them. Sales support library programs and initiatives. If you’re interested in volunteering, stop by the Book Shoppe to pick up an application, or print out the application here and bring it to the Book Shoppe.

Volunteering in the Library

Volunteers at the Library do a variety of tasks, from shelving books and other materials to getting our materials ready to go on the shelves.

If you are a teen (age 12-17) who is interesting in becoming a volunteer at the library, please fill out an application here. We also have a monthly "teen volunteer" program. Check our events calendar here to see when the next one will be held.

We are currently not accepting any adult volunteers for the library.
